The number of Iranian fighters dying in Syria has reportedly risen in recent weeks. Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency reported that several members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were among the fighters killed in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo over just a few days. This indicates that Iran is increasingly relying on the deployment of IRGC members instead of the elite Quds Force.
